Waitoa Road 

Stop 6216 and 7216 (Waitoa Road at Bus Tunnel)

Changes at these stops include: 

  • Relocating the retaining wall to ensure buses can pull out of lane fully, and a kerb buildout on approach side to slow traffic. Build out at rear of stop 7216. This will require some civil works. 

Stop 7216 

  • Stop lengthened to 20m

  • 9m of no stopping at all times marking added to bus exit taper

  • Kerb buildout at the rear of the stop

  • Existing parking bay reduced from 14.2m to 11.6m (still enough space for two car parks) 

Stop 6216 

  • Stop lengthened to 20m

  • Kerb realigned and footpath widened

  • Existing retaining wall to be removed with new retaining wall constructed approximately 2 m behind the existing wall. 

 Stop 7217 & 6217 (Hataitai Stop B and Stop A)

Changes at these stops include: 

  • New kerb buildout for 7217 and increase the size of both stops. Requires civil works. 

Stop 7217 

  • Stop lengthened to 20m

  • A new extended bus platform constructed

  • Existing shelter relocated to front of stop

  • RTI sign relocated to the front of the stop

  • This results in the loss of 3 unrestricted parking spaces outside #37 Waitoa Road 

Stop 6217 

  • Stop lengthened to 20m

  • 15.3m of ‘no stopping at all times’ marking added to the bus entry taper

  • 15.4m of ‘no stopping at all times’ marking added to the bus exit taper. 

Moxham Ave 

Stop 7218 and 6218 - Moxham Avenue at Raupo Street (near number 87) and Moxham Avenue at Raupo Street (near number 88)

Changes for these stops include: 

  • Retaining stop 7218 and relocating stop 6218 slightly to improve spacing, accessibility, and bus operations. 

Stop 7218

  • Stop lengthened to 20m

  • RTI sign relocated from stop 7219

  • This results in 2 unrestricted parking spaces being removed from outside 92/94 Moxham Ave. 

Stop 6218

  • Stop relocated slightly south along Moxham Avenue

  • 26.4m of ‘no stopping at all times’ marking added to the bus entry taper

  • 15.7m of ‘no stopping at all times’ marking added to the bus exit taper

  • 6m ‘no stopping at all times’ markings added for intersection parking setback at Raupo Street

  • This results in 2 unrestricted parking spaces being added outside of 85/87 Moxham Ave. 

Stops 7219 and 6219 - Moxham Avenue near Goa Street and Moxham Avenue at Kilbirnie School 

Changes for these stops include: 

  • Removing this pair of stops to improve bus journey efficiency. This will result in 2-3 unrestricted parking spaces being added in front of 115/117 Moxham Ave and 1 in front of 116 Moxham Ave. 

Stops 7220 & 6220 - Kupe Street near Hamilton Road

Changes for these stops include: 

  • Retaining the stops at their current locations, with changes to stop length. 

Stop 7220

  • Stop lengthened to 20m

  • 15m of ‘no stopping at all times’ marking added to the bus entry taper

  • 6m of ‘no stopping at all times’ marking added to the bus exit taper

  • This results in the removal of 1 unrestricted parking space. 

Stop 6220

  • Stop lengthened to 20m

  • 15m of ‘no stopping at all times’ marking added to the bus entry taper

  • This results in the removal of three parking spaces. 

Stops 7221 and 6221 - Hamilton Road at Wellington Road

Changes for these stops include: 

  • Lengthening both stops, adding a kerb buildout at stop 6221, extending entry and exit tapers at both stops. Requires civil works. 

Stop 7221 

  • Stop lengthened to 20m

  • 3.6m of ‘no stopping at all times’ marking added to the bus exit taper

  • RTI sign relocated to the front of the stop

  • This results in 1 unrestricted parking space being removed.  

Stop 6221 

  • Stop lengthened to 20m

  • New kerb extension constructed

  • Redundant vehicle crossing replaced with a fullheight kerb and new footpath 

  • 22m of ‘no stopping at all times’ marking added to the bus entry taper 

  • 23.1m of ‘no stopping at all times’ marking added to the bus exit taper 

  • This results in 6 unrestricted parking spaces being removed.
