We’re collaborating with Wellington Water to renew and reinforce the pipes underground while Courtenay Place construction is underway.
The pipes in the Golden Mile area are critical for ensuring reliable stormwater and wastewater services in central Wellington. As the pipes in this area have all reached the end of their expected life-span, they’re due for maintenance. By upgrading these pipes now, we will be able to avoid flooding and wastewater discharge in the area, while also making the most of road closures required in the area for upgrading the streets, so we can minimise digging.
