There will be an uphill bike lane on Wadestown Road from Blackbridge Road to Weld Street. Between Weld Street and Pitt Street, sharrow road markings will be painted to identify the shared traffic lanes. There will be sharrows on the downhill side, from Pitt Street to Churchill Drive. All on-street parking on the uphill side will be removed on this section. Some parking will also be removed on part of Wilton Road.
This will complete the Wadestown connection between Crofton Downs, Wilton and the central city.
We will also be raising the two existing pedestrian crossings at the Wadestown shopping area as part of stage one of this project, to improve safety.
