Five options were considered and assessed through a multi-criteria analysis.
The option that best met the desired outcomes was option 2.
This option would mean there is no way to mitigate the parking pressures in parts of Wadestown from commuter parking and following on from the implementation of Wadestown connections.
The scheme design is aligned with the 2020 Parking Policy. Some unrestricted parking spaces would be reallocated to P120; residents require a permit to park longer than the two-hour time limit. The P120 parking is free. Some commuter parking is available. A limit on permits is set at 85 percent of spaces available for residents.
There would be two permit zones – Wadestown east and Wadestown west.
The scheme design is aligned with the 2020 Parking Policy. The P120 would apply only on weekdays. Almost all spaces outside the Wadestown shopping area are P120; residents require a permit to park longer than two hours. The P120 parking is free. Some commuter parking is available. A limit on permits is set at 85 percent of spaces available for residents.
